Intermountain Coaching and Consulting
Money truly follows Mission and in my three decades of working with churches and non-profits I’ve helped raise millions of dollars to help fund them. Knowing how difficult it is for organizations to often talk about money I've designed the following campaigns so that a church or organization of any size can use them and succeed in growing a culture of generosity. My hope is that each church will look at them through a lens of 'instant coffee', the coffee has been grown, harvested and ground, now you can make it into whatever style of coffee you're looking for and works best for your context. These campaigns are packed with information in the guides and priced so that any church or organization can afford them.
Stewardship Development and Capital Campaign Projects
We Are One
Stewardship Campaign
The idea of doing a stewardship campaign can be both exciting and daunting. I’ve developed a campaign for churches or faith based organizations to use that will help you in getting organized and having resources that will help you focus on service as well as giving. The campaign comes with an outline to help you recruit your stewardship team members, create timeline for special opportunities during the campaign, how to focus on generosity all year round, growing service in your ministry teams, and talking about legacy giving. Along with the calendar other specifically created resources include sermon starters for each Sunday and a daily devotional that can be reprinted for your whole community to utilize during the campaign.
The We Are One Stewardship Campaign is an eight week program with a Pastor's Guide and messages for eight Sundays, a 50 Day Devotional Journal with insights on using it for small group or Bible study and a Stewardship Team Leader's Guide. This particular campaign falls in line with the Lectionary Readings for Year B in the months of October and November in 2024. The campaign can also be done at any point of the year that works for your setting.
The Leadership Team guide has a detailed overview of how to run the campaign, the devotional focuses on the lectionary scriptures and messages, and has questions to help with individual and corporate growth in the church. The Pastor's guide has an overview of the program, in-depth reflections and materials for messages, including the actual questions that members will be looking at the coming week in their devotional. The intention of this campaign is to grow the spiritual growth of your people, service growth in your ministries and creating a culture of generosity among your members.
Purchasing the campaign allows you to reproduce all materials from the time of purchase through the end of the campaign. Since it is via download this means you can share it digitally or make copies, as many as needed. That will save time, money and allow you to put the resources easily in to the hands of all your people. The permission to reproduce is only for the duration of the campaign, the resources are not permitted to be shared on your churches website or with other churches. You also are given the flexibility of taking the materials and creating your own 'personalized resources' at your church, keeping in mind that you must give credit to the original production of the materials when you use them.

This shorter campaign can be done at any point of the year that works for your congregation and focuses specifically on giving of Time, Talent, Treasure and Sharing All. The campaign also falls in line with the Lectionary Readings for Year A in the month of October and first Sunday in November.

Under Construction
Capital Campaign
A capital campaign is about firmly celebrating the past, highlighting the present and sharing the hopes for the future ministries of the church or organization. That through capital improvements and programming expansions, it would help grow the church or organization and that it would touch the lives of many more people, grow more disciples; help to take God’s love into the world. A healthy and well-rounded capital campaign process easily runs 8-12 months, is strategically run, not rushed and has committed leadership. The capital campaign is centered on funding ministries and building projects that will help the growing of ministries to the next level; gifts are given one time or over a 3–5-year period.
There are some good companies who focus on specifically doing capital campaigns, some even focus exclusively on churches. If you want to raise millions of dollars and are prepared to spend easily more than $100,000 on the campaign, just for their services, then they will serve you well. On the other hand, if along with raising considerable resources for the future you’d also like to see personal growth, community engagement and excitement, reinvigorated purpose and mission, and growing legacy and endowment giving through community unity in worship series and daily devotional materials, then maybe doing it differently is something to consider. Whether you use a company or go on your own, this program will help you move towards accomplishing a successful campaign.
My belief has always been that a community that prays together, stays together. That is why I believe that it is imperative that in taking on such a huge endeavor takes not only praying and planning for the campaign, but also in preparing for the spirit to lead folks during the campaign by being focused on the same topics and readings. I’ve created an eight-week sermon series along with a seven-week devotional looking at the book of Nehemiah and how a normal everyday follower of God helped change the world. This series will help you to plant the seeds of the God dream that you have and invite your leaders, members and community to walk with you, allowing you to go deeper into how the kingdom of God is at the center of your vision and mission for the future.
